How does In Home Care Differ from Office Based Care?

Theoretical Frameworks

In-home care is rooted in several key theoretical frameworks, guiding clinicians in providing effective, culturally attuned, and family-centered support.
In-home care hinges on understanding the family’s cultural, social, and systemic realities and identities and tailoring individualized treatment plans for sustainable healing outcomes.

Example:  If a family incorporates traditional healing practices into their everyday lives, the clinician integrates these into their  intervention plan rather than imposing Western frameworks. The clinician will acknowledge systemic barriers, such as language access or discrimination, that may shape the family’s experiences that may impact how they receive services.
