Dominique Paz MSW, LSW

I began my journey working with adolescents and families in New Brunswick, NJ, where I quickly learned how cultural nuances, intergenerational trauma, and systemic barriers shape a caregiver’s ability to support their child. These experiences deepened my understanding of how diverse identities and lived experiences intersect to influence family dynamics.

As a Latina clinician, I share cultural and linguistic connections with many of the families I serve, particularly those who are Spanish-speaking and may experience barriers when navigating social services. Whether families are unfamiliar with or overwhelmed by these systems, I know that culturally attuned, strengths-based support isn’t just helpful—it’s transformative.

This work is deeply personal to me. I believe that the home is where life unfolds in its most raw and honest form. It’s where the challenges and strengths of families come to light, and it’s where transformation is possible. My approach centers on honoring each family’s unique narrative, breaking intergenerational cycles of hardship, and fostering resilience so that families can thrive—not just survive.
